Twitter will 'censor' tweets by country
In what marks a u-turn for the microblogging company, Twitter has now announced it will censor certain tweets depending on the rules of each country. Prior to this technology being activated, if Twitter blocked a tweet, it was deleted across the service globally. The new system allows it to block tweets which may not comply with a certain country’s laws just in that location, but the messages will be still be live across Twitter around the world.

Internet shut off at Wall Street protest
Several activists are reporting that internet signals and access are being blocked at the “Occupy Wall Street” protest in New York. This same tactic has recently been employed at Bay Area Rapid Transit protests on the opposite side of the continent in San Francisco to shut down cell phone service. See a trend?

From this day forth I’m pretty sure I shall not be using any of Amazon’s services again. if you didn’t hear already, WikiLeaks suffered some down time this morning not because of recent DDOS attacks but because Amazon Web Services took them off and moved them to a Swedish provider.
