Q:where's pierre's? (oh boy that rhymed)

So far as I know, it exists only in Guelph and somewhere in Montréal. Smoke’s actually offered to buy out Pierre’s a couple of years ago, but Pierre refused; shortly thereafter, they set about buying properties in nearby locations and setting up business. Nevertheless, Pierre’s remains dominant — their hours of operation are only 4 days/week, and evenings, and busy — whereas the couple of nearby Smoke’s locations are habitually empty. 

So far I’ve only heard Torontonians and only Torontonians who’ve ever had Toronto-poutine exhort the wonders of Smoke’s. 

Fun fact: the user name of Michael Sona, the current lead suspect of the Conservative Party robocall/vote-rigging scandal, was “PierrePoutine” and resides (probably in hiding) in Guelph.
